The words "Justice Sails In" are painted on the bow, the vessel's name is "Tribuna" and Judge Sueli Pini is in charge for the week-long journey through the Amazon Delta. The ship travels by night, and the law is laid down by day. The "Tribuna" is a floating courtroom and wherever it berths it finds cases to deal with; mostly these are ownership disputes, divorces and alimony payments, but sometimes there are even murders. Travelling with the judge are a public prosecutor and assigned counsel, but also doctors, dentists and social workers. And while legal pronouncements are being delivered on deck, these latter care for the sick and those seeking help. When needs must, the entire court decamps into the jungle to visit the scene of the crime.
